Press Release Regarding Re-Opening 22/06/2020
Due to the delayed response from the MOD & the implications requested for safety etc we are unable to run 4th/5th July 2020.
This is a deep shame for all of us on the Rissington Committee, especially after the extreme effort from Debbie and Julie, which pushed hard for an answer from the M.O.D to allow us to run.
All the COVID-19 documents which were set to be released upon a confirmation of going ahead, will be revised based on the information which is set to be outlined by Boris Johnson tomorrow, to ensure the safety of everyone at the circuit.
We are sorry that this is the conclusion, I know plenty of you out there have awaited our decision, before looking elsewhere and we appreciated your patience, but as mentioned above we did not get the required answer and information to run.
Awaiting confirmation & acceptance of our new proposed calendar which we shall have in the next few days at the latest – thank you for your patience – our outlined plans will also be published. We are continuing to work with the MOD regarding the second weekend of July which is set to host the Daniel Ricciardo Event
Thank you for your patience. Thank you for awaiting our decision before looking elsewhere. Please stand-by us at thanking our committee for the effort which has been put into place, to ensure the safety of everyone.
