THE 2021 KARTING SEASON.

Round 2

Practice Day Saturday May 1st

Welcome to Rissington Kart Club.

Situated in the heart of the picturesque Cotswolds, the Little Rissington circuit offers superb high-speed racing under Motorsport UK rules for all major karting classes, from Cadets to the awesome 250 Gearbox karts. With its fast, wide sweeping bends, billiard smooth surface and big run-off areas makes it one of the best drivers’ circuits in the country.
Rissington prides itself of being a friendly club, run by the members for the members. The club particularly encourages novices, families and visiting drivers. It is also possible to take your ARKS test at the track.

Official Press Release 26/04/21

Rissington Kart Club Press Release 26/04/2021

Unfortunately due to commercial reasons, we are cancelling the race meeting on Sunday May 2nd.

The Saturday Practice will go ahead as planned with gates opening at 7.30am.

We plan to give all drivers practicing on Saturday, as much track time as possible and we will provide ARKS Testing as required.

We recognise that whilst lockdowns are easing, and karting is slowly opening back up, the uncertainty of travel and competing is still a consideration in operating events.

As you are also aware, we cannot offer overnight camping facilities at Rissington at this present time due to Covid restrictions, and we know that this is a popular feature of our track and can create difficulties for our visitors in finding suitable alternatives.

Full refunds will be issued for those competitors who have registered to race on Sunday.

We would like to point out that karting will continue at Rissington this season as planned, and we are in discussions about how we can maximise our circuit to provide more flexible race meetings and to offer the track for testing and shakedowns for those drivers and Teams who need track time or to prepare engines.

We of course apologise for any disruption and thank you for your patience on this matter but we feel these steps are necessary to secure the future of this historic and popular karting venue.

We look forward to welcoming the drivers and Teams on Saturday.

PLEASE RESPECT THE COVID PROTOCOLS.

ROUND 2 MAY 1st-2nd

Please note these important points if attending the circuit next weekend:
NO overnight camping – this is an MOD (and currently MSUK) directive.
NO DOGS
Please note that there will be a track & trace point prior to the paddock – each vehicle will be stopped and all personnel must be temperature checked and registered as attending. Please ensure you wear your mask.
The gate to the circuit will open at 7.30am on Saturday morning & will remain supervised until 10am (then locked) – a contact number will be available should you have to leave or you’ve been delayed arriving so that someone can let you in/out.
The gate will reopen at 5.30pm and everyone must be off site by 7pm.
This will also be the format for the Sunday.
Thank you for your patience and we look forward to seeing you all next week.
Many thanks
Debbie – Chairman

Two circuits in one. The fast long straights for the gearbox classes and the twisty inner circuit featuring the tricky dogleg for all other classes. Rissy is a tough challenge for even the seasoned drivers! Come along and give it a go!
